New Laboratory in our Albany Office

The Victorian Guide to Standards & Tolerances Passed in Tribunal Case

Our Albany office has recently undergone an upgrade, which saw a fully functioning soil testing laboratory installed to increase turnaround times for clients and better cater to the needs of the Great Southern Region.

We are committed to growing our business in the Great Southern Region and the new laboratory effectively reduces turnaround times for our clients and further caters to their needs. We can now do all of the soil classification tests, such as PSD, Atterberg Limits and Sand Pad Suitability testing, directly in that office which will greatly improve our time frames. It also provides our Albany staff members with better opportunities for self-development and improvement to increase their expertise through multiskilling.

One of our major goals in the first 12 months is to attain NATA accreditation. Procedures have been put in place now to meet the NATA requirements, which will allow for a quick and easy process when we do submit our application for the accreditation. We will be the first and only NATA accredited lab in the region and this will only increase clients’ confidence in the results that we provide them.

Our Quality Manager, Kate Evans, who project managed and put a lot of time and effort into the upgrade having overseen it from the planning stage says “I am very proud of the end result, it is a neat, tidy and professional looking facility. My previous laboratory experience has paid dividends in knowing what works and what doesn’t and as such, has produced an efficient space. I have thoroughly enjoyed working on this project and I am also looking forward to seeing the lab grow and better serve our clients needs”.
