The village was designed to contain as much environmentally sustainable design features as possible including cost efficient heated and cooling independent living units (ILU). These were designed and constructed to provide minimal heat transfer during the winter months whilst maintaining a cooler environment during the summer.
Structerre provided a multi-disciplinary service throughout this project, including geotechnical, structural and civil solutions. Our structural team undertook the design and documentation for the ILU’s, community centre, high care facility and retaining wall system. Our civil team delivered the bulk earthworks, stormwater drainage, internal spine road with turnaround facilities and roundabout. Structerre hydraulcis provided the design for internal sewer and water reticulation while our electrical team were responsible for the electrical and communications systems.
