Located in the popular suburb of Alphington, Hemingway Residences is a collection of 55 architecturally designed 2 & 3 bedroom luxury townhouses. Hemingway Residences has transformed the Alphington area by replacing unsightly commercial and industrial buildings with medium-density development that will inject some contemporary architecture into the suburb.
The Gorgon Project is one of the largest natural gas projects in Australia’s history, designed for an annual production of 15.6 million tonnes of LNG. The Project is under construction on Barrow Island, a Class ‘A’ Nature Reserve and within a cyclone region, which our team factored into their designs. We undertook all structural works for 13 central facility buildings of the workforce accommodation village. These buildings were made up of 245 transportable modules, which were pre-assembled in Perth.
ShedBoss appointed Structerre to review, improve and transform their existing ShedBuilder software to be more competitive, cutting-edge and automated. Our team assisted in the development and provided the engineering verification of a design engine where design and certification is automated based on a series of shed geometry and site location inputs.
Grosvenor is an underground longwall mine located in Central QLD. Construction of the five million tonne per annum coal mine began in 2012 and our team was responsible for the structural design, documentation and detailing of the administration, training and emergency buildings.
Situated in South Yarra, VIC, and standing at twenty levels, Ella Apartments is an impressive and sophisticated building. This residential development comprises one hundred and sixty-seven, one and two bedroom apartments with ground level retail and secure car parking. The building’s façade features bronze hues and light panelling with apartments starting from level four.
Our Commercial & Infrastructure team were invited to provide the structural designs for the $11.5 million library and community centre that will act as a hub for the local community and provide Baldivis with a visually appealing focal point.
The Victoria Sugar Mill Estate in Queensland is the largest sugar mill in Australia and one of the largest in the Southern Hemisphere. A 66m tall stack on the site required maintenance works, which included structural repairs, blasting and painting. A working platform was needed to carry this out, which required a scaffolding system that was quick to assemble, reliable and light weight.
Our team was commissioned to work on the Brisbane AirlinkM7 tunnel project, which formed a major part of Australia’s $4.8 Billion investment in new transportation infrastructure, the largest project of its kind to date. The tunnel’s size is unparalleled throughout Australia hosting 135,000 vehicles per day and encompassing 15km of tunnelling.
Tip Top’s Slacks Creek factory underwent a $9m upgrade to improve product quality control and distribution facilities to meet the demand of over 180,000 bread units per day. Spanning over eight distribution lines, this upgrade included construction of a new distribution warehouse and overall improvements such as installing automated packaging and handing equipment, upgrades to the engineering workshop and provision of additional wash bays and crate washing equipment. Employing more than 390 staff members, staff facilities were also enhanced as part of the investment.
This intricate project showcases our multi-disciplinary capabilities, with our Brisbane and Sydney teams working closely with the client to accommodate the worship needs for the 500 members of the AMA Community. Occupying an area of approximately 700m2 and standing 7m high, the Bait-ul-Masroor Mosque has a capacity for 300 worshippers and comprises a main prayer hall, Mihrab locating the Qibla, male and female amenities, library, kitchen, large entry veranda, lobbies and minaret tower. An important element for our client was the orientation of the Qibla directing worshippers to the direction of the Kaaba in Mecca.
With a strong interest in horses and a history in dressage, the owners of the site wanted to install an arena on their large block in Gidgegannup, to become more involved with their passion. The arena now boasts many medals and has become a well-known novelty amongst the Perth dressage community. Urban landscaping approached us for our expertise on this complex project.

With over 100 businesses involved and spanning over 50 hectares, Perth Market City plays a critical role in the marketing and distribution of fresh produce in WA operating 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to meet the industry’s strong demands. A $20 million upgrade is being undertaken to upgrade and reinforce its position as a superior food industry precinct and further achieve their main focus of bringing “the best produce in the most efficient way possible, to every customer”.Features include further warehousing, a controlled site access plan, further development of a service precinct for scientific and quality assurance, as well incorporating an industry training facility.
Working with AGEC Australia Geotechnical Consultants, we performed geotechnical, civil and structural engineering works for Atlas Iron’s new stockyard facility located at Utah Point in Port Hedland Port. The facility consists of stock-piles of iron ore up to seventeen metres in height with associated roads, stackers, reclaimer and conveyors to handle the ore from road-trains to stock-piles through to waiting ships at the Utah Point berths.
Located on an arterial road and spanning a site of 6.3 hectares, this booming retail precinct comprises over 60 specialty stores and 5 pad sites with many major outlets and facilities. Constructed in 2004, significant wear and tear across many elements over the site was a cause of concern for our client. One of the largest retail property owners, developers and managers in Australia, Stockland utilised our expertise to provide an existing condition report survey on the premises, identifying the cause of current defects and providing cost effective solutions for rectification.
Located in Western Sydney with easy access to public transport and amenities, this Nursing home offers specialist dementia and respite care with tailored personal services catered to suit each individuals needs. After burning down in 2011, the rebuild has 3 times more communal space and the ability to care for an extra 27 residents.
Recognised as one of Sydney’s premium fresh food outlets and receiving the 2013 local business award for ‘Outstanding Fruit and Vegetable Store’ within the Northern Beaches, 2012 saw this family-owned store double in size through extensions and upgrades.
This 5 storey mixed-use building houses 2 commercial tenancies and 24 apartments over 4 levels. Our multi-disciplinary abilities enabled an efficient service delivery through in-house project coordination.
The community was constructed in 16 months, described by Halcyon Landing as the “Best construction success story of the Sunshine Coast in the past few years.”
The emphasis for the Armadale Redevelopment Scheme was to increase the attractiveness and the convenience of the precinct to the community and general public and raise the centre’s safety standards. The addition of extra amenities, tourist orientated and cultural facilities will attract more traffic flow through the centre, providing more support to local businesses in the area.
Structerre undertook the design for this twenty-seven lot survey strata division. The scope of works included extensive liaison with the Local Authority to determine stormwater and access road requirements and extending Savage Road from the Broadview Ring Road to form a subdivision spine road.
Situated on a site with a high groundwater table and complex subsurface soil types, the Laigo Way project presented a number of challenges that our dedicated Geotechnical team were keen to overcome.

The village comprises one hundred and thiry-seven independent two and three bedroom living units, a high care residential facility and day centre, and the BJ Hickey community centre with a fully equipped gym, spa, library and a church.
Swancare Community at Bentley Park is a premium aged care facility consisting of six hundred independent units and three aged care complexes. It offers a one hundred and twenty bed low-care facility, a seventy-eight bed high-care nursing home and an eighty-two bed low-care center that offers large private suites with en suites.
Australind Rise is a premium retirement estate in a prize location, between the idyllic Collie River and the Indian Ocean. The estate offers thirty-eight modern two and three bedroom villas with spacious indoor living adjacent to the alfresco areas.

Built on the site of the former Mullaloo Tavern, the Mullaloo Beach Hotel located in the heart of Perth’s northern beaches, has surpassed its previous reputation as a typically Australian pub. This newly constructed hotel reopened its doors in October 2005, and won a “HIA Australian Tavern of the year” award.
The Meath Care facilities located in Kingsley is a premium aged care village comprising of a -storey plus basement dependant living accommodation apartment building consisting of one hundred and twenty-five beds, a two-storey plus basement assisted living facility, and thirty-eight independent living villa units and a communal clubhouse.
The prestigious Royal Perth Golf Club situated in South Perth is the oldest club in metropolitan Western Australia and was awarded its royal status in 1937. Structerre engineered a complete redevelopment of the existing clubhouse, including the addition of a new formal function centre, member’s bar and lounge area, locker rooms, mezzanine activity area, memorabilia gallery, pro-shop and buggy storehouse.
The Medina Palace, situated in the heart of Perth, is an impressive sixteen-storey hotel and residential apartment complex. With a curved floor plate at one corner and load transfers at multiple levels, the structural design utilises two-way spanning in-situ concrete suspended floor slabs.
Located in the stylish suburb of East Perth, the Urbano Uno Apartment complex is a six-storey mixed-use building consisting of an undercroft basement car park, one level of offices, and four levels of residential living space comprising over twenty apartments.
Excelsior Apartments is a thirteen-storey apartment development located in South Perth. All ten apartments have breath-taking views of the Swan River and the Perth city skyline. Occupants have the use of two floors of amenities, including a swimming pool, spa, gymnasium, barbecue and alfresco area.
The Mediterranean influence and eclectic street front design of Concourse Apartments has defined the way we look at inner city living. This four storey, mixed-use development consists over 100 square metres of professional offices, 46 residential apartments, a communal swimming pool and a basement carpark.
The Superline Enterprises Lord Street Development comprised two neighbouring four-storey commercial office buildings on a prominent corner of Perth’s office precinct. The two buildings were designed and built simultaneously, but each possessed its own unique aesthetic. Architecturally elaborate, the office buildings present an interplay of angles through the stark white design of its structural steel façade and framed windows.
Coventry Square Markets comprise a vibrant array of restaurants, cafes and shops which are situated close to the Centro Galleria in Morley. Once an auto parts warehouse, the site has undergone a detailed refurbishment transforming its functional aesthetic into a landmark style statement.
Located in Osborne Park, WA, this striking and unusual two-storey office building is home to one of Western Australia’s largest and most prestigious home builders, Webb & Brown-Neaves. Featuring extensive tinted curtain wall glazing, frameless feature glass balustrading, both polished and off-form concrete wall panels, limestone wall cladding and a remarkable six metre long “alucabond” clad cantilevered entry awning.
This four-storey commercial office development displays a modernist aesthetic with its abstract geometry complimenting the recent regeneration of the locality in which it is situated. Structerre was reponsible for the design, documentation and construction phase support relating to all structural elements including the primary structure, metal-work facades and foundations.
Situated in Welshpool, WA, this massive warehouse and distribution centre is built on a 43,000 sqm site and occupies a footprint of over 12,000 sqm. The main warehouse stores Total Steel’s inventory of steel products and as such, the structure (including gantry cranes) and foundations / floor slabs were designed to carry very heavy loads.
Having been devastated by fire in 2009, the SMRC’s recycling plant was rebuilt, new and improved at the same site. Structerre were engaged to investigate and assess the remains of the foundations of the facility from a structural and geotechnical perspective, and then to design and document the structural elements of the “rebuilt” recycling facility as well as the adjacent two storey administration building and learning centre.
With an ongoing relationship and trust in our services, Real SWB Developments Pty Ltd approached us to work with them on a three-storey apartment block housing fifteen residential units. Ranging from one to three bedrooms, with living / dining areas and balconies, complete with a built-in car park, our experience in similar residential apartment projects allowed for a seamless delivery.
This warehouse and office facility situated in Canning Vale, WA, is used as a distribution centre and factory for primarily copper and nickel products. A high-load racking system occupies a large portion of the 6,000 sqm footprint with other areas set aside for cutting / machining, sheet storage and traffic. Gantry cranes and forklifts are utilised for loading, unloading and transport of metal supplies and products.
During the second stage of development of WA's largest cancer care treatment centre, Structerre Geotechnical was commissioned to design the underpinning system of the existing building to ensure that hospital operations were not disrupted as site works were undertaken.

BGC Quarries has been operating the original Voyager Lakes Quarry since 1990, extracting and crushing Granite for concrete aggregate, paving blocks, asphalt, road seal, road base and general fill. The new Voyager II Quarry is located in The Lakes area, fifty-five kilometres east of the Perth CBD with a lifetime capacity of two million tonnes of gravel, twelve million tonnes of clay and sixty million tonnes of granite resources.
